The united states have many wars and competitions. Our topic is on the space race, which is a competition between the united states and Russia to see who can get into space first, cold war, a war in which is fought with name calling and the building up tension between one, and on how the two of them are intertwined.
For starters, The space Race was a clash between United States and Russia to see who could get into space first. So it began U.S. and Russia started to build their space ships and attempted to get into space and they failed until 1962 a satellite was shot up into earths orbit and stayed the name of this satellite was sputnik which is a Russia satellite. But America was not giving up we continued the creation of space ships to get into space. Then another accomplishment made by Russia, the first human into space Yuri was his name. U.S seemed to be backed into the corner be America will not go down without a fight. America made ships after ships and finally the first win for America, landing a man on the moon thus the win of the space race for the U.S.
Secondly, the cold war was a tension filled name calling war to make the other look bad with no physical contact what so ever in the cold war Korea Broke up into two separate countries North and South Korea. North and South Korea battled it out in a war over the control over the other. However they both did not fight alone, the North was assisted by China and South by the United States. After China fled downward into the South as the north fled upward into North Korea. At the end of this dispute the South ended up having a small part of North
Finally, these two topics, The Space Race and cold war are inter twined in many ways. In the space Race and the Cold war both were a clash to see who could come on top and claim victory as in every war. But what makes these war so unique is that in both of them the side who seemed to be losing the war did not give up instead pushed forward worked harder and be came victorious. Another fact to show they are alike is that both of these fights had a whole lot of tension build up and name calling towards each other..
In conclusion, The United States had many wars and competitions. The Space Race and the cold war are only a few of the many examples of these cold wars we have gotten through. Ultimately it all comes down t the decision we make to choose whether to push forward or to give up. If we gave up during the space race or the Korean war where would we be today?
