This week in history we learned about conformity and how women finally got the right to vote. Although women got the right to vote they still had that feeling of emptiness. Women would stay home all day work on the house take care of the kid s all while making sure their husbands are well taken care of. The husband would work all day come home and the women who most likely did the same amount of work as the man would take care of her tired husband. The women followed this routine everyday of their lives they had the right to vote but it wasn’t enough for them cause in return they stayed home all day with really no time to themselves. In class we had one of our class discussions but more people were in on it this time which was good.

  This week was a more laid back week and we didn't do as much work compared to usual weeks. On Monday we got an extra day in the computer lab to finish up our websites so we would be ready for presentations. The next day we started presenting. I like the idea of having our work on websites because it's easy to track your learning experience as well as relatet everyone else's. It's interesting to see all the time that people put into their websites and it also gives me new ideas that I then put towards my website. At the end of the week we started reviewing for out quarterly. I definitely need to study because I didn't know all the questions we went over.

This week in history we improved our geographic skills and learned where different countries in our world. I learned mostly on the Asia continent. I learned where Indiana is on the map. We also did this thing where people would go up to the map on the wall and only used north south east and west to direct the person up at the map to the right spot. We also read a packet on current events yesterday. I found a lot of it to be quite interesting, for example there was a shark attack again in a country in South Africa. It is the sixth one in five years, all were really fetal. Also we started on the civil rights movement. We made a timeline for events that happened leading to this event. Such as cold war Korean War and etc. we also picked topics for our projects on civil rights movement.

This week in history we choose our topics for our civil rights prodject. i decided tyo work solo on thios because i found its easier to work alone and not have to depend on the partner(s) to do their part of the prodject. for my topic i picked the peace core. when i picked this topic i had no clue what it was about which is why i picked it so i can challenge myself. i actually learned alot during this i now know the peace core is an organization created by jfk himself that brings multicultral people together to go to the many diffrent parts of the world to teach those not of our country what goes on in our lives and how america works. also you must be atleast 18 years of age and you get many benifits from this vouleenteer job

 This week in class everyone in the class did our presentations. We had to take notes on each topic because we are going to be tested on it. All in all, I thought everyone had great presentations. I was informed pretty well on each topic but I feel some people could have done a little bit better.  Later in the week we were informed that we get to work with partners for the test and that it was only an essay. i worked with anthony cause we got an extra credit point for working with a partner, when we do things in this class and get the option to work with others it makes things easier and it also creates better work ethic from the group. The saying "two heads are better than one" really comes into play here.

Last week was HSPA testing in school so we didn't do much of anything in class work wise. HSPA's were long and boring and just drained me out. In class we watched a video on the Vietnam War which was really informative on what it was like and it helped me understand what we are learning better. We also watched the Kony 21012 video this week. To me I found this video completely shocking. It disgusted me how someone could kidnap innocent children and make them do horrible things such as kill their own parents. No child should have to go through this no matter where you live. This video has created much controversy and there are many different views on what should be done. We had a discussion in class about it and it seemed as if most people would be willing to help.
